I have be filled with many emotions during the past week. It’s been hard to collect and organize my thoughts in a coherent manner because of my anger, frustration, and exhaustion of the senseless killing of Black men…specifically the slow motion murder of Mr. George Floyd. In the coming days and weeks I will write about and recommend concrete actions that individuals, organizations, and society can take to speed up the progress of change in an inclusive way.

But, first I wanted to share a video clip of Jane Elliot being interviewed by Jimmy Fallon. Those of you that have attended my classes over the years know I consider Jane a friend and mentor. In the clip she explains the disease of racism and its negative outcomes in 7 minutes. The lesson here? Speak truth, be candid, and be respectful.
